Spam: Keep your email address from spambots with Text to ASCII - Lifehacker

Spam: Keep your email address from spambots with Text to ASCII - Lifehacker: "Webapp Text to ASCII converts plain text into its ASCII equivalent - meaning it can obscure your email address or other private data from automated spambots online. This isn't a foolproof method, as spambots can be programmed to decode ASCII, however, a good majority of them aren't. Go ahead and check out Text to ASCII's capabilities -- this entire post is written in ASCII. View the source code and verify! The next time you want to leave your email address in a web form, head over to Text to ASCII, convert your email address to ASCII and you'll be good to go."

Featured Windows Download: Convert MP3 audiobooks for the iPod with MP3 to iPod Audio Book Converter - Lifehacker

Featured Windows Download: Convert MP3 audiobooks for the iPod with MP3 to iPod Audio Book Converter - Lifehacker

Windows only: Freeware application MP3 to iPod Audio Book Converter takes your regular MP3 audiobooks and converts them to the iPod (M4B) audiobook format, allowing you to take advantage of the features afforded to iPod audiobook files.

Namely, that means that your iPod will mark your last listening position so you can pick up where you left off (which you can more tediously do with MP3s) and let you adjust the playback speed. If you've got many MP3 audiobooks, or even podcasts, converting them to the M4B format—while less portable—should give you a nice added level of audiobook friendliness. If your files are already in M4A format rather than MP3, all you have to do is rename the extension to M4B.
